Hilary Laney

Hilary Laney is the President and Owner of Evia, Inc. She has been at Evia for over 12 years, and she has held the position of president for over three years. During her time as president, she has been responsible for the growth of the company from 11 employees to over 35 today, and revenue growth of 71%. Hilary has achieved this by anticipating clients' needs and expectations for the future and working closely with her team to develop innovative solutions. Most recently, she has overseen the launch of Evia's first product, a self-managed virtual events platform, as well as the first-ever rebranding of the 24-year old company.

Hilary knows that every organization has a story to tell their employees, partners and customers. In a virtual world, these stories can be told through videos, social posts, blogs, infographics, and on and on. The problem most companies are faced with today is that there are TOO MANY options for releasing content to their audiences, so it often feels disconnected. This is where Hilary and her team at Evia have made an impact. They are experts in sharing the stories of their customers, and she embodies the company's purpose: UNIFYING PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE THROUGH ACCESS TO RELEVANT CONTENT.

Hilary has applied her talents to philanthropic efforts as well. In 2017, she is launching Evia Unite, the philanthropic arm of Evia. Through Evia Unite, she has created a program that supports team members who want to get involved in community service, whether their time commitment is limited to occasional volunteering or they have an ongoing vested cause. Passionate about the Pacific Northwest and its rich history, Hilary was recently invited to join the Board of Trustees at the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).

Hilary and her husband, Scott, have two young children, an energetic golden retriever, and a loving cat that behaves more like a dog. She is a Seattle native with four generations of history in the Puget Sound region. When she isn't working or spending quality time at home with her family, she loves to hike, surf, snowboard, backcountry camp, garden, dance with her kids, and visit local brewpubs with friends. She is a true Pacific Northwest girl with a lot of passion for life.
