Hilary Laney to Lead Session on Virtual Events at MPI Cascadia Education Conference

REDMOND, WA (March 1, 2017) – Hilary Laney, President and Owner of Evia, will be addressing a group of event professionals at the 2017 Cascadia Education Conference in Pendleton, Oregon. In her session on March 6th entitled The Virtual Event Experience: How to Grow Your Audience and Maximize the Value of Your Event, Hilary will be teaching attendees how live streaming, on-demand content and social media engagement can help planners better engage attendees, provide critical audience data, and increase the value of their event content. Her session will be recorded and will be available on demand on the Evia Cloud platform.

While more and more event planners are incorporating a virtual component into their live events, many still shy away from adding it. However, according to Hilary, that mindset needs to change for events to continue to meet the demands of attendees. "With more and more millennials entering the workplace, they will expect ready access to content, not only at work, but on their mobile devices. Incorporating virtual into events allows attendees to consume more content than they are physically able to at a live event. And for corporations, the return on investment in live events grows as the content is extended to more people both in and out of the conference center."

During her session, Hilary will reveal her Six Steps to a Successful Virtual Event, where she will discuss what it takes to plan, execute and measure the ROI of virtual events.
