Welcome to Evia’s new monthly feature, EPMs Unplugged. Here we will give insights into the day-to-day life, personalities and backgrounds of Evia’s Event Project Managers, those people who organize your event from beginning to end and make sure that everything runs like clockwork.
One of our most important tools is the Event Toolbox. All EPMs at Evia are given a Pelican, a hard plastic case that is water-tight and is packed with foam for making sure gear is properly secured while shipping, and it becomes our first line of defense from having to make a very inconvenient run to the office supply store in the middle of a busy event.
What is in our pelican? These are some of our must-haves:
Pens, highlighers, pencils, sharpies, dry erase markers
Packing tape, gaff tape, duct tape, scotch tape (okay, basically every kind of tape)
First aid kit
Stapler and staples
Business card holder with business cards
Keyboard, mouse, mousepad
Rubber band, paper clips
Post-it notes, pads of paper, printer paper, envelopes
Lock, USB key
Phone charger, micro USB charger, wall to USB adapter
HDMI and VGA cables, power strip
Hand sanitizer, lotion, soap deodorant
Extra monitor (optional)
Zip lock bags
